Outside the Monaco Hookah Lounge in Atlanta, a city he had adopted as his second home, an argument erupted between King Von’s entourage and another group associated with fellow rapper Quando Rondo.

The official cause of King Von’s death was determined to be multiple gunshot wounds, a fact confirmed by the subsequent autopsy report. He was not pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting.
